The DPE 120 was the works Lagonda entry for the 1936 Monte Carlo Rally. This very car started in Tallin (Estonia) and finished 41st in Monte Carlo with TG Moore at the wheel on the 29th of January 1936. Extremely well documented file with period Lagonda factory workshop reports, letters, period magazine and newspaper reports, Lagonda club certificates, etc... This LG 45 is a unique car having a purpose built tourer body for the "Monte". Only sister car DPE121 did have the same body (did however not make it to Monte Carlo). This Lagonda is in charming, but excellent condition. Showing a little bit of patina here and there which makes the car even more attractive. Magnificent original green leather upholstery, exhibiting with splendor the blood, sweat and tears of Monte Carlo driving hero, TG Moore. Typical 4.5 L Meadows-engine performance, make this Lagonda an easy and effortless "monster" to drive. But above all : what a glorious motorcar ! An important piece of British motoring history.
