Porsche 356 A

Porsche 356 A 1600S, cabriolet Car sold (or presented) new to the Oberbürgemeister of Stuttgart in 1956. Very rare early 356 cabriolet with typical "bee-basket" style rear lights. Totally restored at great expense the last two years and now looking fabulous again in its original polished, black glossy paint and very attractive original red leather interior. That little bit of patina on the upholstery makes it so beautiful and proves that this car was always well taken care of. In 1977 the engine was uprated from 1500 cc to 1600 cc and during the recent full restoration, a few more extra horsepower have been gained so that this Porsche lives up to its name and expectations. Period radio and rare original luggage rack add to the charm of this car. Spring 2003 news : Last week a couple of days with springtime atmosphere, invited me to drive this Porsche 356 in the countryside and blew away the winter cob-webs. Oh, ah...what a feeling ! Everybody knows I am a British sports car abdict, but I have to admit, this Porsche 356 is a truly, fantastic classic. Great fun ! WARNING ! I have a strong feeling that Mr. Frank Smeys, crazy about this model for half of his life, will buy this beauty from under your nose in the next few days.And he did !
