Alfa Romeo GTC 1965 LHD Chassis n°: AR 755300 Touring body n°: 16793 Engine n°: AR 00525-22992 Based on the Giulia Sprint, which was designed by Bertone, this GTC, a 2+2 convertible, was developped by Touring in Milano. All together only 1.000 examples were produced in 1965 and 1966. This matching numbers example belonged for many years to one of my classic car friends from the neighborhoud I live in. He was very proud of this rare open Alfa Romeo and invested everything necessary to improve the cars condition (bodily and mechanically) and maintain her in an impeccable way. It must be said that the GTC is a very rewarding open sportscar to drive, because for the time she offered excellent performances from the all aluminium 1570 cc twin overhead cam engine fed by 2 double Weber carbs producing a healthy 106 HP which enabled this GTC to reach 180 Km/h. Add to this a well set-up suspension and the benefit of a smooth 5-speed gearbox + the wind in your hair and the result is... endless pleasure fror Kms and Kms!
