Searching for the ideal car for historic rallying? Look no further! Lancia is without a doubt the rally champion among manufacturers, and the Squadra Corse HF largely contributed to these successes. Although their symbol was a galloping elephant, l'elefantino che corre, the cars they drove were true examples of lightness and efficiency. The Fulvia has once been described as "a precision motorcar, an engineering tour de force", and that is truly what it is. Its narrow angle V4 engine coupled to a front-wheel drive makes it a very performant car. Introduced in 1967, the Coupé Rallye 1.3 HF has the most powerful 1.3 litre engine ever used in a Fulvia, producing 101 bhp. This particular Fulvia, with chassis number 818.340-001870, was first registered in Torino in 1969 (the original libretto comes with the car). It has a correct 1.3 HF engine, and given that its engine number 818.342-1877 is in the same range as the chassis number, it might very well be its original engine. Overall, this is a very honest car that presents well: all panels are very straight and the closing lines of the doors, bonnet and boot lid are also straight. The yellow and blue striping and the HF logos with the galloping elephant add to the car's charm. But most of all, it is a very reliable car that will provide tremendous fun when driven to the limit! An excellent entry for historic competitive rallies such as the Rallye de Monte-Carlo Historique.
