Doesn't this XK120 Convertible look very stylish with her disc wheels and rear spats? I have always thought that wire wheels look good on the Tourer, but the Convertible needs disc wheels & spats. Do you agree? Rarest of the three XK120 variants (only 1,769 Drophead Coupés were built compared with 7,631 Roadsters and 2,678 Fixed Head Coupés) this left-hand drive drophead represents Jaguar's classic XK sports car in its early, purest form. Delivered new to France, the car previously belonged to well known French Jaguar enthusiast, Dr Marc Hevia from Angoul ème, and was treated in his ownership to a complete 'body off' restoration and respray in the 1990s. This comprehensive restoration is very well documented by lots of photographs. Slightly 'hotter' camshafts were installed at that time, while other noteworthy features include a Kenlowe electric fan, extra oil cooler, modern choke mechanism, fog lamps and a stainless steel exhaust system. The car was sold to my Belgian customer approx. 10 years ago to become part of this well-known Brussels based private collection containing more than 50 super-quality cars! Easy to understand that this XK120 wasn't used that often and still remains 10 years later in a very clean, overall immaculate presentation. Finished in Old English White with blue leather interior, carpets and soft-top, '678392' is offered with Belgian 'Oldtimer' registration papers and FIA Category E pass issued by the RACB's historic section in 2004. On the road this Jaguar drophead is a real joy to drive offering swift performances and great comfort at once.
