AC Aceca

Chassis n°: AEX 658 Lovely original condition AC Aceca with 2 litre AC engine coupled to 4 speed + overdrive box. Only 3 owners from new. Sold initially to an enthusiast in California who kept her 30 years. In 1988 this Aceca was bought by an Australian AC collector who surprisingly never registered this car for road use. In 2003 this AC arrived in the hands of one of my classic car friends from the Brussels area who used this AC on several occasions to participate at the famous "Route Nationale 7" rallies through beautiful French country roads. Sadly he died recently. His children ask me now to sell their father's car. After close inspection of this Aceca in my classic car workshop I can state that I have never seen an AC with such a nice, sound, dead-straight and totally undamaged chassis. Even the chassis paint is original and still looking good. The aluminium outside skin is absolutely corrosion-free and I didn't find any electrolysis reaction with the tubular frame. 3/4 of the attractive vineyard green outer paint is also still original. Only 1 rear wing, the passengers door and the tail-lid have been resprayed at a certain time. The interior is again totally original (just some carpets were replaced) and looks absolutely very charming to me (some might say: 'delightfully scruffy'). On the road, this AC is a pleasure to drive. Just like wearing your favourite leather gloves... Smooth ride and smooth power! Comes with full history, letters from previous owners, actual Belgian registration documents + original handbook.
