Dear friends and customers, I am very proud to tell you, my 1928 Alvis Front Wheel Drive, did win its class (Sports/Racing Cars 1920-1970) against fears opposition at the European Concours d'Elegance at Schwetzingen on the 6th and 7th of July. The jury admired the very advanced technology of this Alvis FWD for its time and the lovely original condition it is in. Since than, I had very enjoyable summer fun with this sports racing car along the country lanes of the charming Pajottenland I live in. Alvis Front Wheel Drive 1928 One of only 142 ever produced (a mere 36 are still in existence). These Front Wheel Drive cars were designed for the race by Alvis and carefully distributed to skilled drivers. This model was indeed very advanced technology for its period. -Front wheel drive -All round independant suspension -Permanent compressor -Overhead camshaft driven by gears -In-board brakes -Straight cut gears in 4 speed box These cars won their class in the 1928 24H of LE MANS and ended 6th general after much more powerful competitors. This particular car is fitted from original with pointed tail "Tourist Trophy" body by CARBODIES. It is in excellent all round condition with some lovely patina. Full history from day 1 known and only 38.000 miles since new ! A rare opportunity to purchase a unique period race-car.
