We are very proud to announce that we were able to buy the ex-prince Bertil of Sweden Aston Martin DB2 DHC from 1950. LML 50/26 was the second production DB2 drophead and the first open car to be fitted with a Vantage engine. This DB2 carries aswell some interesting period body modifications which enhance the general attractive bodylines of this Aston Martin (no boxed bumper sections, one piece grill but still early square side vents in bonnet). At some point during Prince Bertil's ownership, the cas was issued the Swedish royal registration number A26. He remained the proud owner of the DB2 for 12 years (1950 till 1962). After a lengthy en very costly restoration in America, this DB2 DHC was exhibited at the 1989 Pebble Beach concours. Immediately after the concours, this car changed hands for a sum in the area of 500.000 USD ! The new owner spent another 57.000 USD to engine tuning and small electrical problems. Needless to say, this Aston is in Super condition and must be one of the most exclusive Aston's to own ! Please contact for more information.
