Chassis: 1E 32169 Engine: 7E 6666-9 Still today, when I watch this styling icon, which the E-type surely was in 1961, shine in front of my classic car showroom, I understand that this Series I Coupé hasn't lost a single bit of her feline attraction over the years. This particular, matching numbers, E-type was sold new to California and remained there till the end of the 80-ies. Photographs documenting the arrival of this Jaguar (wearing black Californian plates) in a German warehouse, show clearly the perfect original condition this sportscar was still in after having spent 22 years in the dry Californian climate. At that stage this E-type benefitted from a full mechanical rebuild on all the items in need and cosmetically she gained a new shiny layer of paint very close to the original 'Carmen Red' + a few repairs on the original black leather + a set of wider 6,5" chrome wire wheels. The previous German owner took very good care of his classic, because 20 years later, inspection on the ramps reveals a super sound and well detailed E-type. Also on the road this Jaguar sportscar is sensationnal to drive. And finally, when you look at her, don't you agree this 60-ies leaping-cat-sportscar is a sparkling beauty?
