MGB Berlinette Coune 1965 LHD As a Belgian classic car dealer I am particularly proud to be able to offer this very rare, innovative and Belgian designed MGB Berlinette. Ahead of anyone else, Mr. Jacques Coune, a Brussels based coachbuilder, had the idea to develop and design a Coupé-version of the MGB Roadster. He presented his creation on the 1964 Brussels Motorshow and constructed in total 56 Berlinettes Coune, before MG took over his idea and launched the MGB GT in October 1965. Marreyt Classics had the pleasure to sell this MGB Berlinette Coune in 1997 to an enthusiast Belgian connoisseur (he owned one when he was a student...!) and looks now again very much forward to place this very rare MG in the hands of a future new owner. This Berlinette Coune was completely restored by a well reputed Antwerp based classic car specialist and further detailed and carefully maintained by the last long term owner. All typical Berlinette Coune items are present. Not only badges, but also a full leather interior (still original with lovely patina) including door panels, Les Leston wooden steering wheel, Abarth manifold, recessed and covered headlights, etc... Sparingly used for some prestigeous classic car rallies, concours délégance events, classic car shows. Many, many features in all sorts of classic car magazines in Europe and the USA. From the 56 examples constructed, only 14 seem to remain... This is your chance to secure one for you!
