MG TB

The most sought after classic MG sportscar, because this model combines the typical prewar sportscar looks with the technical refinements (reliable XPAG engine) of the postwar TC models. Only a mere 400 TB's were built in total ! This paricular TB is in superb condition being completely restored approx. 5 years ago by a German collector. After this comprehensive restoration, the MGTB passed easily the severe German TUV test. Purchased by the organisers of the Liege-Rome-Liege rally, the car was put on trial 3 years consecutively by lenting it to automotive journalists to participate at a few editions of the well known historic rally. Each time the TB behaved remarkably well. Starting the MGTB up, reveals immediately a glorious sporty exhaust sound from the slightly upgraded engine, fitted with bigger SU carbs. On the road, she goes really well. Excellent power and easy gearchange, efficient brakes, typical steering and no rattles whatsoever. Her presentation in dark blue with red leather upholstery and black canvas full weather equipment is very smart and immensely attractive. The engine compartiment is nicely detailed and confirms the quality of the restoration work. Inspecting the MG on the ramps, shows a beautifully restored and ultra straight chassis with all suspension items in super condition.
