Lagonda 16/80 Special Six

Lagonda 16/80 Special Six Speed 4-seater Tourer 1932 RHD I have known this charming Lagonda 16/80 for over 20 years here in Belgium. From my own experience and after reading the documentation file with announcements from Lagonda when launching the 16/80 in 1932 and also that same year the driving reports of The Autocar journal, I realise this 6-cylinder 2 liter version, very similar to the 2 litre 4-cylinder, was considered as the smooth, torky and reliable version. Not so many 16/80 were produced. According to my information approx. 250 examples (all body types confused). The overall body styling of this Speed 4-seater Tourer, which is totally original and correct, remains very sporty and attractive thanks to the basic concept, detached helmet wings, wooden running boards, low windscreen, etc... On the road this Lagonda does not disappoint and fulfils with gusto the sporty expectations. Very well maintained over the years, this Lagonda is still very sound and looks absolutely right and charming with a nice touch of beautiful patina on paint and trim. She benefitted last year from a full engine rebuild. In conclusion: a totally correct, typical British sporty tourer, with a lot of charm and in excellent mechanical condition.
