Jaguar XK140 SE DHC 1955
If you would like to find all the advantages of the 120, 140 and 150 combined in 1 Jaguar XK…?
Then it’s this XK140 SE DHC you need to choose!
We briefly sum up:
- The 140 still features more-or-less the initial attractive body design of the 120.- The 140 offers significantly more leg room than in the 120, but not as much as in the 150.- The double lined hood of the practical DHC offers both enjoyable open top motoring and, when closed, the same comfy feeling as in the FHC. - Thanks to the C-type cylinder head, the engine power of this SE version reaches an astonishing 210 HP.
A Jaguar XK140 DHC in LHD with the SE specification and the C-type cylinder head is a rare find: only 1.488 examples were produced.
We found this matching numbers Jaguar in the Saint Quentin in the North of France and were easily convinced, not only by the reasons mentioned above, but also by the attractive colour: Jaguar Battleship Grey and the super-sound condition of the car.
As could be expected, the restoration of this XK140 in our specialist classic car workshop was very straightforward.
One has to admit that on the road, the Jaguar XK140 SE DHC is a very nicely balanced sportscar. The combination of excellent power of the twin-cam 6-cylinder engine coupled to the 4-speed gearbox with over-drive, easily allows for a sporty or relaxed drive.
After some road testing, this beautiful Jaguar XK was ready for delivery to our customer.
We will always remember the splendid garden party which was organised to welcome this Jaguar into the collection!
But… times change and sometimes collections become smaller.
We were asked to put this beautiful Battleship Grey XK140 SE DHC on the market…
An opportunity not to be missed by the connoisseur!
