1971 Porsche 911 S Targa
SOLD before it got on the website
We said it before and we will say it again; the Porsche 911 is and remains a living legend. One of the most iconic sports cars of the last century. Today we, Marreyt Classic Cars, have the honor to offer you another fantastic example.
This Porsche 911 S Targa was sold new on the 1st of june 1971 and delivered to its first Italian owner. Until today, this beauty spent its entire life in northern Italian cities such as Milan and Savona.
The 'S' version was the highest performance street version available in 1971. It delivered a smooth 180HP through a 2,195cc 6-cylinder boxer engine with Bosch fuel injection. A 5-speed transmission translated into sublime acceleration and comfortable revs at higher speeds.
Thanks to the Italian climate and the extremely careful care of the previous owners, this car is in very good condition both optically and mechanically.
The matching numbers engine was completely overhauled just a few years ago and is ready for many more future miles.
The purity of the "Butzi" design creates a spectacle of classic lines. This is further highlighted by the fantastically classy combination of Burgundy Red paintwork with the black leatherette upholstery.
The big plus to the targa version is that you can enjoy some open-top fun. This though without having too much wind noise and without the need to concede to chassis rigidity.
In short, you understand that it is with pride that we offer this 911 on behalf of our Italian client.
