One of the first of the modern Talbot cars after the arrival of the talented engineer, Anthony Lago in the Suresnes factory near Paris. This car was a couple of years ago, one of these miraculous barn-finds in totally original, unrestored condition. The previous French owner, well known in the French classic car scene, undertook a from the chassis unwards nut and bolt restoration. Finished just 18 months ago this Talbot 3-position convertible is a fabulous and very elegant appearance. The, for its time, modern 6 cylinder 3L engine, has excellent power (90HP) and is so easy to drive thanks to the practical Wilson pre-select gearbox. Remarkable is the totally rattle free behaviour of the car even when the road is rough, which demonstrates convincingly the quality of the restoration. The elegant body lines are complemented by a somptious beige leather interior and a neat beige dubble duck and practical 3-position hood system. The dashboard with big Jaeger instruments and beautiful wood veneer looks superb. The big spring suspended steering wheel offers excellent grip. A great French prewar continental tourer rightfully described with nothing but superlatives. Yours for 90.000 euro (costed much more to restore !)
