This original fuel injected Dutch TR5 is a rather rare bird. Not so many were produced, most models being TR250 caburator versions for the USA. My Dutch customer and previous owner of this TR5 was happy to keep this car in tip top condition and to have this 2.5 L 6 cylinder in line engine set up in the best possible performance/pleasure tuning by Dutch and Belgian TR specialists. A high lift camshaft was fitted, together with tulip valves, polished manifolds, balancing all the engine components, etc... An overdrive was mounted which can be switched on as a surplus to 2nd, 3rd an 4th gear. Suspension bushes were replaced by stiffer nylon-ones and Spax shock absorbers fitted. Wider wire wheels were mounted by new low profile racing tyres. A "6 into 1" by Stainless Steel exhaust, produces a glorious sound. The whole body, initially very clean and sound, was checked for corrosion and repaired where necessary + protected as it should. A new wiring loom was fitted. The presentation in red with black original vinyl interior + hood, is excellent. Carpets are fresh and clean. On the road this TR5 is a spectacular and exhilarating car to drive. The typical British sportscar feeling is accentuated by the smooth but endless power surge from a magnificent engine. No rattles whatever (difficult to obtain on a TR !) and very good general feeling driving this well sorted TR5. This model is difficult to find in the first place and in this, no expence spared condition, certainly. A unique opportunity at 26.000 euro.
