The Giulietta Sprint is without a doubt a serious contender for the title of "Most Iconic Postwar Alfa Romeo".
First, take a look at those perfect sleek lines, courtesy of Franco Scaglione, Bertone's designer. Then open the hood and admire Alfa Romeo's innovative all alloy 4-cylinder twin cam engine.
When launched in 1954 at the Torino Motorshow, the Giulietta was quite a technological and stylistic statement by Alfa Romeo. Who would have thought that this small but very advanced mass-produced sports car would become Alfa Romeo's flagship model for a long-lasting period of time?
Technical details
This very early first series Giulietta Sprint, with its typical small head & rear lights, has many strong points.
- First of all, it has benefited from a thorough restoration. Cosmetically and mechanically. The excellent initiative is that the interior has been left untouched as much as possible, to retain its charming patina.
No wonder that this Giulietta Sprint has received the highest Targa d'Oro qualification by the ASI (Auto Storiche Italiane)
- Secondly, its early vintage makes it Mille Miglia eligible.
We recently obtained a fresh FIVA ID card + a Mille Miglia Registro certification and… participated without any problem in the 2023 Mille Miglia edition!
Having prepared and guided during the last 10 years dozens of sportscars to participate at the Mille Miglia, our opinion is that if you want to drive from Brescia to Rome and back, this Giulietta Sprint is probably the best sportscar to do so and which will provide you with lots of driving pleasures and admiration of the Italian public!
Besides, on one of the many sunny days we've had over the past weeks, this Sprint simply is great fun to just drive around and we are confident that you will find as much pleasure in driving it as we did!
