Cross & Ellis Tourer RHD My customers and visitors of this website will have noticed that I am an Alvis fanatic. You can therefor imagine that I am very proud to add this very interesting original Cross & Ellis Speed 25 Tourer to my stocklist. My friend and colleague, Rod Jolley, in fact the instigator of my Alvis desease, prepared this sporty Speed 25 thoroughly for the Monte Carlo rally of 1992. Primerly, the complete drive-train, suspension, hubs and brakes were looked at. Secondly, the engine got a full fast Road-Race specification upgrade with lightend flylwheel, Mahle pistons, etc... For reliability, 2 seperate electrical systems were installed. With Rod Jolley as a talented pilot behind the wheel, this Speed 25 Tourer was one of the very few prewar entrants in the 1992 Monte which finished without problems in this though event. The elegant Cross & Ellis Tourer body is strong, very presentable wearing some lovely patina, but not concours. The red leather interior is absolutely lovely. The Speed 25 proves its originality convincingly with the Alvis factory Car Record where all numbers and dates match. Apart from British registration, a full FIA passport completes the file. Maintained in excellent driving condition regardless costs (lots and lots of bills available !). The perfect drivers' Alvis Speed 25 at a faire 110.000 euro
