This stylish coachbuilt Bentley Convertible was bought in 1987 by my Dutch customer from a Californian colletor. The fact that the initial destination of this rare LHD Bentley was California, makes this vehicle even more attractive now for Bentley collectors on the old continent. Although, at that time already in exellent restored condition, the Bentley was nevertheless oncemore completely taken care of by a Dutch classic car restoration specialist in 1996. Nearly 10 years later, the presentation is still superb and the road behaviour faultless. Smooth and ample power is provided by the mighty V8 -6 1/4 liter, aluminium engine, which made its first appearance in this SII model. The allmost unnoticable shifting automatic gearbox, the nicely assisted steering and the very effective servo braking system, transforms the handling of this, after all big car, into an effortless drive. When I drove this Bentley Continental recently along the Flemish countryside, I was very impressed by her homogene taut feeling. The beautiful "Indian Summer" afternoon allowed me to have the top down (electrically) and have some fresh air while gliding through a colourful autumn scenery. This exclusive SII Continental Bentley, offers the best of both worlds, typical for the top-end quality range of these vehicles, discretion and presence alltogether ! Surely very tempting at an affordable 82.500 euro
