Citroën DS 19 Décapotable 1963 LHD This very stylish DS brings back memories from the time I was studying at the unversity. To finance my studies I bought and sold an endless series of Citroën 2CV to my fellow student friends. The only luxury I allowed myself during that period was to drive a DS, which was great fun. Since more than 30 years have elapsed...! When recently this DS Décapotable arrived into my classic car garage and I took her out for a drive, I noticed that certain automatisms were still there after all these years. What a relaxed feeling! This car is the perfect therapy against stress! This early 'mono-phare' model is in absolute perfect condition. Totally and 100% correctly restored approx. 20 years ago this correct 'usine' décapotable fabricated by the French coachbuilder Henri Chapron was all these years part of the important collection of one of my North-Italian customers. As is obvious when inspecting this DS on the ramps in my classic car garage, he didn't drive this DS that much, because she is still in a absolutely immaculate top-condition. I am absolutely convinced that someone, who has similar memories as I have about the DS, will be 'over the moon' to be able to buy this super quality futuristic French style icon of the 60-ies from me.
