This original Tourer with T7 factory body, is one of the only 60 in existence and therefore very much sought after. Connoisseurs all agree that this style of body suits the mighty M45 Lagonda chassis best. The very well engineered mechanics, the ultra strong chassis set up, the mighty Meadows 4 1/2 liter, 6 cylinder twin spark engine, combined with the elegant lines of the ultra light & sporty body, have turned this M45 T7 Tourer into an evergreen in the classic car world. This M45 with chassis number Z10479 is one of the rare Lagonda cars where the original works card has survived and thus of which the full specification and history is known by the Lagonda Owners' Club. Delivered new to Ronald Armstrong Jones (father of Lord Snowdon) on the 1st of May 1934 and with continuous service history and list of successive owners up until today. The last owner in the UK commissioned make specialist Cedar Classics to carry out a no expense spared (more than £ 100,000) mechanical rebuild (finalised end of 1997). Body and trim showing fantastic patina were kept on purpose as such. The result is a very charming tourer expressing convincingly her authenticity, but based on a 100% (not 99 but the full 100)performant chassis. Interested in a genuine dream machine ? This is it ! Still registered under original AXX757 number. Available with huge restoration file, correspondance with the Lagonda Owners' Club and valid FIA Identity Form. A prewar sportscar the way I really like them to be, but hard to find as such !
