Porsche 911 E Coupé 1969 LHD

In the 60-ies the magazine “Car and Driver” summed it up this way when testing the different  models of the 1969 Porsche 911 range:

"There's no doubt that Porsche has a very successful grand touring car and the design philosophy is terrific. I'd really like to see other people try it. Just the rear engine alone lends to building a better car . . . you have a low centre of gravity, good visibility, a minimum of mechanical loss through the drive-train and, being air-cooled and light the combination results in an impressive vehicle. And you've got to admire them for getting so much out of a relatively small engine - even the 912 - although I was most impressed with the handling. The cars have remarkable suspension systems."

The classic 1969 Porsche 911E Coupé we have in stock is just the tamer version of the top S-model, also powered by the fuel injected 2.0 litre air-cooled flat six engine producing a healthy 140 HP.

Chassis 119200687 was sold new in Rome - Italy on 17/06/1969  in the attractive Ossi Blue colour which was only available for the model years 1968 & 1969 and was fitted with the optional 5 speed gearbox and Fuchs alloy wheels.

Thanks to the warm Italian climate and enthusiast owners this Porsche 911 has very well aged and is still matching numbers. The very sound body made the restoration very straightforward. Also the mechanical side was completely taken care of by a Belgian Porsche specialist.

The purity of the by “Butzi” Porsche designed classic lines are nicely accentuated by the rare colour combination of Ossi Blue with stylish beige Pepita trim on the optional sportsseats.

Comes with Belgian registration documents, original ancient Italian Ministero dei Trasporti registration, Porsche certificate by Porsche Italia SpA, Kardex, well documented restoration with photos & invoices.
