Alvis Firebird DHC by Cross & Ellis

This middle class Alvis Firebird is a not so common and very elegant car with its DHC coachwork by Cross & Ellis. Rare to find in this totally original condition. This Firebird runs and drives and had an MOT until 2002. The aluminium panelling and ash framing are rather sound. Interior in brown leather, could be saved "as is" but a new hood is necessary. Easy to use 3-position hood mechanism, assures good weather protection to 4-5 passengers. Nice dashboard layout with all correct instruments in place. Beautifully designed wood veneer on door cappings. Mechanically fully functional car with good power from the 4 cylinder 1.8 L engine and offering the big advantage of a full synchromesh 4 speed gearbox from original ! Needs some restoration work.
