I could not resist buying this stylish and rare open 356. It is one of the only 291 produced 356 roadsters by the Belgian Porsche and VW importer and coachbuilder since 200 years, D'Ieteren. This roadster combines the comfort of the convertible with the pure lines of the speedster. The ideal compromise ! Additionally, the car is powered by the sought after super 90 engine which offers an excellent power to weight ratio with this sportscar. This 356 Porsche is immaculate. Perfectly restored allready a few years ago. Excellent shut lines on doors, bonnet and bootlid. Magnificent paint finish in silver grey.Spottless dark red leather interior. Neat hood and tonneau cover in quality black dubble duck. Engine bay is concours ! Engine does not drip 1 drop of oil. Luggage compartiment is immaculate. One could eat from the underside of the car : that clean ! On the road, this Porsche is an absolute joy to drive ! Perfect roadholding, good power, precise steering, effective brakes (for drums !), no rattles at all ! Some clever improvements are the dual brake system with stainless steel brake pipes, the conversion from 6 to 12 Volt, inertia seat belts, period Blaupunkt radio, electric screen washer, battery cut out switch.
